Building a Custom Menu from Scratch on Dishplayed

With Dishplayed, you can create everything from scratch in just a few minutes, without needing a professional—because you’re the professional! Follow these simple steps to build your menu:

1. Access the Menu Management Section: From the main dashboard, click on "Menu" and select "Manage Menu."
2. Upload or Create a New Menu: You can either upload your existing menu as a PDF or create a new one from scratch. To start fresh, click on "Build from Scratch."
3. Build from Scratch: Click on "Create a Menu" , enter a name and description for your menu, then click "Create a Menu."
4. Add a New Category: Click the "+ Add category" sign. On the next page, upload an image for the category and enter its name and description.

5. Add Menu Items: Click on the newly created category and then click "Add Item" on the right side of the page.

   - Upload the item photo, and enter the item's title, price, description, and dietary information.

6. Repeat the process until you create your complete menu.

Edit, Reorder, or Delete Categories:

- To edit a category, click the "..." icon next to it.

- From here, you can reorder categories by moving them up or down, or delete a category entirely.

Add Additions or Variant:

At the bottom "Add item" page, you’ll find two options:

1. "This item has additions"
2. "This item has variants"

Additions:
Check the "This item has additions" box to add the item and the price . You can add multiple additions by clicking the "+" sign. To remove an addition, click the remove icon next to the price option.

Variants:

Check the "This item has variants" box to add the item and start from. You can add multiple additions by clicking the "+" sign. To remove an Variants, click the remove icon next to "start from" option.

You can also upgrade your plan to starter or Pro plan and Dishplayed will create your menu for you based on your PDF.
